Calm When It Counts

A family facing legal issues needs an ally who understands not only the law, but what you’re going through personally. Deborah combines her years of experience and her calming personal manner to approach each unique family situation.

By providing her clients with pertinent information and thoughtful guidance, Deborah is able to help her clients understand their legal options, make informed decisions, and move forward with a sound vision and plan.

Every Circumstance Is Unique

No two people are the same. As clients, neither are their personal family situations. Deborah has built her career by approaching each new client with seasoned experience and fresh perspective. She is well-suited to handle your situation whether it requires litigation, mediation, or the application of collaborative law. Deborah handles matters involving adoption, divorce, simple and complex property settlements, child custody issues, modifications and enforcements of prior orders, paternity, pre- and post-marital agreements, as well as other family law issues.

Professional Leadership

After her admission to the State Bar of Texas, Deborah practiced family law through the Law Offices of Deborah Ham, PLLC before founding Hunt Ham, PLLC in 2010, with former District Court Judge Lynn Hunt. Deborah has been appointed and trusted by Family District Court Judges to provide properly investigated and researched pertinent information in cases before these judges. For a number of years, she has been a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, an honorary society of lawyers who are among the best trained attorneys in Texas. Deborah has been complimented by District Court Judges before whom she practices for her preparation during litigation.

Deborah earned her Bachelor of Arts at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia. After a career in medical research at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and medical products marketing in California, Deborah pursued another bold direction and entered the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
